| Objective | NoCoU is an open, vibrant and dynamic Norwegian user network (NoCoU) for societal security, safety, and resilience as a trans-disciplinary arena for collaboration, participants will share knowledge, promote Norwegian solutions at the European level and adapt European results to national needs.
Members of the NoCoU are from different domains, disciplines and will exchange experiences and support transfer of knowledge related to civil security, safety and resilience. The NoCoU are important contributors to, potential early adopters and users of civil security solutions as they provides inputs from research, practice and policy. |

Project: 355157 as part of the EU network 2024-2027
Norwegian actors (public sector, NGOs, academia and industry) are active contributors to several research and innovation activities within European and National Research related to civil security. Due to the nature of European programmes in terms of budget and specific consortia eligibility and admissibility requirements, participation is limited, and competition is huge. The potential to improve participation lies on a collective effort of the Norwegian stakeholders involved in safety, security and resilience across domains and societies (local, regional, national).
Project goal
Create an innovative arena to meet, discuss emerging threats, challenges and solutions, exchange updated knowledge, experiences on civil security for societies themes such as Fight against Crime and Terrorism (FCT), Disaster Resilient Societies (DRS), Resilient Infrastructures (INFRA, e.g. healthcare, water, energy, transport, digital, communications) and Cybersecurity (CS).
By creating a vibrant and dynamic Norwegian network (NoCoU), the network will promote knowledge through innovative approaches and experiences with the preparation of project proposals and ongoing projects across Norway focusing on opportunities and benefits that Horizon Europe offers for all relevant sectors (academia, public authorities, industry, NGOs, CSOs).
